Lỗi 0x80070002 (ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) khi chạy Windows 11 Installation Assistant thường nghĩa là quá trình không tìm thấy một số file cập nhật cần thiết. Lỗi này hay gặp khi nâng cấp lên phiên bản mới (như 24H2). Dưới đây là hướng dẫn khắc phục hiệu quả theo thứ tự từ dễ đến khó.
1. Kiểm tra cơ bản
- Đảm bảo ổ C: còn ít nhất 25GB – 30GB trống.
- Khởi động lại máy tính.
- Tắt tạm thời Windows Defender và bất kỳ antivirus thứ ba nào.
- Ngắt kết nối các thiết bị USB không cần thiết.
2. Chạy Windows Update Troubleshooter
- Nhấn Windows + I mở Settings.
- Chọn System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters.
- Tìm Windows Update → nhấn Run.
- Hoàn tất và khởi động lại máy.
3. Reset Windows Update Components (Cách khắc phục hiệu quả nhất)
Mở Command Prompt với quyền Administrator:
- Nhấn Windows + S, gõ cmd, chuột phải → Run as administrator.
- Gõ lần lượt các lệnh sau (Enter sau mỗi lệnh):

net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

net start msiserver- Khởi động lại máy tính và chạy lại Installation Assistant.
4. Sửa file hệ thống bằng DISM và SFC
- Mở Command Prompt (Admin).
- Chạy lần lượt hai lệnh:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow- Khởi động lại máy sau khi chạy xong.
5. Chạy lại Windows 11 Installation Assistant
- Truy cập trang: microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
- Tải lại Windows 11 Installation Assistant (Download Now).
- Chạy file và chọn Update Now.
6. Các cách nâng cao khác
- Thực hiện Clean Boot để loại trừ xung đột phần mềm:
- Nhấn Windows + R → gõ msconfig → tab Services → tick Hide all Microsoft services → Disable all.
- Tab Startup → mở Task Manager → Disable tất cả → Restart.
- Xóa thư mục SoftwareDistribution thủ công sau khi dừng dịch vụ.
- Nếu vẫn không được, tạo USB boot Windows 11 và thực hiện Repair Upgrade.
